The Clinical Pilates (Movement Based Classification and Treatment) ) approach has been developed by Australian Physiotherapists. It is utilised by qualified Physiotherapists as part of their assessment and treatment. Specifically trained practitioners combine traditional pilates with current physiotherapy research on spinal stability and biomechanics.
The use of Clinical Pilates within your physiotherapy session will assist you with recovery from injury, and is also effective in injury prevention and athletic conditioning. We can help you improve your postural control and strengthen your core, whilst also helping to improve your flexibility and balance, to help your body function optimally. It is suitable for people of all ages and levels of ability.
Annabel Ralph, Samantha King and Arpitha Shastry are trained in Clinical Pilates through DMA and APPI and offer (individual and semi-private) equipment-based physiotherapy exercise-based sessions within our Studio Space at Blackheath Physiotherapy and Pilates.
