Clinical Pilates
We offer two types of pilates at our clinic:
Both classes are run by our trained physiotherapists.
Private Clinical Pilates
Specifically trained practitioners combine traditional pilates with current physiotherapy research on spinal stability and biomechanics.
Clinical pilates is a gentle but effective way of strengthening your body, namely your back and core. It is a type of exercise which incorporates the whole body. It is an ideal form of rehabilitation or exercise whether your are recovering from an injury, working on injury prevention or would like to keep fit and toned.
The benefits of clinical pilates include:

Improved body awareness
Teaches you how to use your body and its joints and muscles optimally
Our physiotherapists are qualified in both mat and reformer based pilates and are trained in Clinical Pilates through DMA and APPI.
Mat Pilates Classes
Men's Stretch + Strengthen
This class is a men-only class, run by Jeremy, our physio and sports trainer. The aim is to prevent injuries, reduce back pain, become stronger, and improve posture and balance.
The following classes require an initial clinical pilates assessment by one of our physiotherapists in order to determine which level is best suited to your abilities and so any conditions of injuries can be monitored closely.
PHYSIO PILATES - Foundation Level
Basic pilates class suitable for those recovering from injury, chronic pain and even during pregnancy.
Under expert supervision you will be guided to improve your:
Body awareness
Movement quality
Fitness level
PHYSIO PILATES Level 1 - General
A mid-level class for those who have prior experience in mat pilates or those who have completed the Foundation Level.
This class aims to:
Enhance your technique and alignment
Further challenge your body
Improve your understanding of posture and the fundamentals of pilates
PHYSIO PILATES Level 2 - Intermediate
Our most advanced level, this class builds on the movements and strength developed in Level 1. Suitable for those who have developed reasonably good body awareness and strength.
This class will further build your movement skills, strength, flexibility and also coordination.

*These classes run on a term basis and are progressively structured to give you the most benefit. We strictly limit class size to enable close supervision and correction of technique. Please contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to attend a class.
